Jason N Pozner MD FACS - Medical Director

ASI is the brainchild of Dr. Jason Pozner who is Board Certified in Plastic Surgery by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and in General Surgery by the American Board of Surgery.  He is a Voluntary Assistant Professor of Surgery at the University Of Miami School Of Medicine and lectures regularly at Florida Atlantic University. Dr. Pozner is a member of numerous societies including the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, The American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery and the American Society for Lasers in Medicine and Surgery. He has authored many scientific articles and book chapters on many aspects of cosmetic surgery and has taught many physicians from throughout the world his innovative techniques. Dr. Pozner specializes in correction of problems others have encountered after previous surgery. His recognized expertise in laser techniques has led to his being invited to teach many courses to other physicians and plastic surgeons. Others visit the Institute throughout the year for hands on training.

Dr. Pozner spent his adolescence watching the benefits patients received in his father’s health spa and diet center. After attending Cornell University and the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in NY, Dr. Pozner trained at Mount Sinai, Downstate, Montefiore and Long Island Jewish Hospitals for general and plastic surgery. He then completed a cosmetic and endoscopic fellowship in Baltimore, where he had an academic appointment at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. Dr Pozner lives in Boca Raton with his wife Larissa, their Westies Rambo and Conan and their flock of parrots.

Kurt J Wagner MD FACS

Joining Dr. Pozner is Kurt J. Wagner MD, who relocated to Florida after a successful 30 year practice in Beverly Hills, California. Dr. Wagner is Board Certified in Plastic Surgery by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery and is a life member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. He trained at New York University, Downstate medical Center and New York Hospital. He is the coauthor of “How to Win in the Youth Game” and “Beauty by Design” and the founder of the American Society of Aesthetic Reconstructive Surgery. His breast and chin implant designs are in universal use and his techniques have been the subject of many television, newspaper and magazine pieces. Many Hollywood celebrities can be counted in his cast of over 20,000 patients but perhaps more importantly a litany of plastic surgeons and their families as well. His lifelong dream was to be involved in a place that provides total rejuvenation and enhancement. Dr Wagner retired to South Florida with his wife Kathy and beloved dog Angelica to be with his grandchildren, but his inventive mind and spirit soon returned him to work. We at ASI are lucky to have someone of his caliber and experience.

Christine Haugen MD

Dr. Haugen is Board Certified in Plastic Surgery by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. She trained at Brown University for General Surgery and was the first woman to graduate from the University of Miami Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery program. Dr. Haugen completed an additional fellowship in Research and Microvascular Surgery and was honored as the top person in her class by being selected to perform reconstructive surgery in a humanitarian mission in Ecuador. Dr. Haugen has authored multiple publications and has been selected as one of "America's Top Surgeons" and "America's Top Plastic Surgeons" by the Consumers Research Council and has been listed in multiple additions of Who's Who. She is active in many charities and was recently honored as one of the "Exceptional Women of Broward County." Dr. Haugen has a special interest in minimally invasive plastic surgery and has performed nearly 2000 "mini-facelifts." She lives in Fort Lauderdale with her attorney husband and 2 year old her son Hunter. We are lucky to have her on our staff at ASI.

Murray J. Pozner, MD

Dr. Murray Pozner has been helping patients successfully lose weight for over thirty years.  He is a member of the National Lipid Association and previously owned and operated The Englewood Cliffs Spa in Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey.  Dr. Pozner utilizes his extensive experience in diet and nutrition to help patients reach their weight loss goals.  Dr. Murray, as he is affectionately called, designs a program for each individual patient, based on an interview with the patient at the first visit, physical examination, and lab work.  Besides diet and exercise, the patient’s program may include appetite suppressants and other medication.  You are monitored closely to assure you lose weight steadily and safely. 

Kenneth Kushner, MD

Dr. Kenneth Kushner, a native Floridian and graduate of the University Of Miami School Of Medicine, brings a unique dichotomy to ASI. Board Certified in Anesthesiology for over a decade, he returns to South Florida after being in practice at a regional referral center in Wyoming to enjoy the warmer climate with his wife and 2 children. He employs the latest anesthetic techniques to provide comfort and safety to all of our surgical patients.

A natural offshoot of his expertise in vascular access is his interest in treatment of varicose vein disorders. He has trained with many national leaders in the field with high technology approaches to veins with ultrasound guided sclerotherapy and laser assisted vein closures.

With his solid background as a skilled aviator, Dr Kushner provides the security that is a trademark of ASI.

Mark A Rosenberg MD 

Dr. Rosenberg is a diplomate of the American Board of Emergency Medicine and the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine. With special expertise in the study of supplements and drugs, he has also served as a consultant for drug toxicity management at several hospitals. Dr. Rosenberg published a book in 1991 which served as a guide for physicians in the management of poisons and drug overdoses.  

A former nationally competitive gymnast and fitness expert, Dr. Rosenberg is certified by and is a consultant for the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA).  For over 10 years, he has been counseling patients and physicians alike in weight loss management, preventive medicine, hormone replacement therapy, and anti-aging medicine.  Dr. Rosenberg has also been certified as a Master Hypnotist in the state of Florida.

Dr. Rosenberg has served as the Assistant Medical Director of Emergency Medicine and the Chairman of the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee at Bethesda Memorial Hospital.  He recently served as the Chief Science Officer and Director of Research and Development for a web-based supplement company.  Most notably, Dr. Rosenberg has developed a compound for safe and natural weight loss that is currently being investigated by the pharmaceutical industry.  It is likely that his development will result in the most effective treatment for obesity to date, eventually to be prescribed by all physicians who treat obesity.

Dr. Rosenberg lectures frequently at national and local conferences as an expert in anti-aging and bariatric (obesity) medicine.  He has also appeared on television and radio on numerous occasions, promoting the healthy aging of our society.
