Labial Reduction: The minor lips of the vagina (labia) are often asymmetrical,elongated and protruding and therefore easily swollen and irritated from exercise or sex. They may protrude from many current swimsuit styles and may be very unattractive. Procedure – outpatient. The surgery involves removing the excess skin of the labia and suturing together with absorbable sutures and requires approximately 45 minutes to complete Anesthesia: either general anesthesia or local plus IV sedation (twilight) Postoperative course - minimal pain and swelling. Normal activities can be resumed the next day and sexual activities in three to four weeks
