Vaginal Rejuvenation:

When the vaginal walls loose their ruggae (folds,furrows and friction),these can be restored and the vaginal walls tightened using laser technology. The laser changes the chemical composition of the collagen fibers to cause shrinking and tightening without loss of sexual pleasureable sensations. This can be done separately or in conjunction with vaginal surgical tightening.

Procedure – outpatient. The surgery involves using an erbium:YAG laser to remove the old vaginal mucosa and requires approximately 30 minutes.

Anesthesia – general, IV sedation or local

Postoperative course - Discomfort is minimal and complications rare. Activites such as usual work or driving can be resumed in 24-36 hours and sex in three weeks
